Commercial Distressed and Non-Performing Debt Acquisition

A Smarter Exit for Non-Performing Commercial Receivables.

Paper Assets Group, LLC acquires distressed and non-performing commercial accounts receivable portfolios across a range of industries, providing sellers with a straightforward path to monetize non-performing assets.

Protecting the seller’s reputation is our top priority.

Why Creditors and Agencies Work With Us

Turning Distressed and Non-Performing Commercial Receivables Into Immediate Value.

Paper Assets Group, LLC provides credit issuers, commercial creditors, and collection agencies with a trusted, reputation-focused alternative for selling distressed and non-performing commercial receivables.

Portfolio sales are frequently evaluated on expected recovery returns alone. Paper Assets Group, LLC takes a broader view, purchasing distressed and non-performing commercial debt directly from credit issuers with a commitment to protecting their brand, business relationships, and long-term reputation.

Through a disciplined acquisition process and a network of independent third-party collection agencies, Paper Assets Group, LLC helps creditors convert non-performing receivables into cash proceeds, reduce ongoing recovery expense, and free internal resources.

The result is a strategic disposition option that balances financial recovery with responsible portfolio management and brand protection — for both creditors and the agencies that represent them.

Who We Are

Turning Non-Performing Commercial Receivables Into Opportunity.

After acquisition, accounts may be placed with experienced independent third-party collection agencies within our network. Paper Assets Group, LLC does not directly perform debt collection activities.

Post-Acquisition Account Management

A Network Approach to Commercial Collections.

Paper Assets Group, LLC is a passive debt buyer. We do not directly perform collection activities.

Following acquisition, accounts may be placed with independent third-party collection agencies selected from our network based on factors such as account characteristics, industry experience, jurisdiction, and other considerations.

Our network model allows acquired portfolios to be placed with third-party professionals appropriate for the characteristics of the accounts.

  • Independent Agencies

Accounts may be assigned to independent third-party collection agencies.

  • Commercial Experience

Agency selection may consider commercial collection experience and portfolio characteristics.

  • Account-Based Placement

Placement decisions may consider account type, jurisdiction, balance, documentation, and other relevant factors.

Important

Paper Assets Group, LLC does not directly engage in debt collection activities. Collection activity, when applicable, is performed by independent third-party collection agencies subject to their own licensing, compliance obligations, policies, procedures, and applicable law.

For Collection Agencies

Offer Your Clients a Solution, Not Another Returned Account.

Commercial collection agencies sometimes reach the end of what further placement efforts can accomplish on certain accounts. When accounts are ready to be returned, the agency is often left without a constructive next step to offer the client.

Paper Assets Group, LLC provides an alternative. Rather than simply returning uncollectible accounts, agencies can present the sale of distressed and non-performing commercial receivables as a solution for their clients. When a referred portfolio is acquired, the referring agency may receive a broker fee on the acquired portfolio.

Agencies remain independent third parties. Paper Assets Group, LLC does not directly perform debt collection activities.

  • A Client Solution

Instead of returning accounts that could not be collected, agencies can propose the sale of distressed and non-performing commercial receivables as an option for their clients.

  • Broker Fee Opportunity

When a referred portfolio is acquired by Paper Assets Group, LLC, the referring agency may receive a broker fee, subject to the terms of a written agreement.

  • Independent Partners

Agencies remain independent third parties, responsible for their own licensing, compliance obligations, policies, procedures, and applicable law.

  1. 01

    Identify the Opportunity

Recognize client accounts or portfolios of distressed and non-performing commercial receivables that are about to be returned.

  2. 02

    Portfolio Review

Paper Assets Group, LLC reviews the portfolio information and, where appropriate, presents a purchase offer to the client.

  3. 03

    Closing & Broker Fee

If the portfolio is acquired, the client receives the purchase price and the referring agency may receive a broker fee under its written agreement.

For Portfolio Sellers

When Carrying Non-Performing Receivables No Longer Makes Sense.

Commercial receivables can remain on the books long after normal internal collection efforts have ended.

Selling non-performing receivables may provide an alternative to continuing to internally manage aging accounts.

Potential reasons a company may explore a portfolio sale include:

  • Monetizing non-performing assets
  • Reducing internal administrative burden
  • Cleaning up aging receivable portfolios
  • Reallocating internal resources
  • Establishing a defined exit for certain defaulted accounts

Whether a sale is appropriate depends on the seller’s individual circumstances. Paper Assets Group, LLC does not provide accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice.

Commercial receivables are not static assets. As accounts age, documentation becomes harder to locate, businesses change, and time-based legal limits may apply. Evaluating a sale after internal efforts end, rather than after accounts have aged further, may help preserve value. This chart is a general illustration, not a prediction for any portfolio.
